Best is a term that is relative to your life circumstances, skills & goals. A single 20 something year old will typically have different plans & path of opportunities available in comparison to a 40 year old with children. When you have less responsibilities you can take bigger risks. I started my first Freelancing writing & SEO business in my 20’s while backpacking and continued to grow it while sleeping in hostels.

My thoughts are that the best Digital Nomad job is the job that gives you the freedom to achieve your desired outcome. If you are looking for stability, guarenteed income and plan to spend up to 6 months per year in one location? Then a remote job could be the perfect fit for you.

If you are interested in hitting the road, traveling, networking, staying in co-working spaces across the glove then becoming a freelancer (Virtual Assistant, SEO Assistant, Freelance writer etc) could be for you!

For those looking for a big payout one day, you may want to start a blog or Youtube Channel that you can sell for a multiple. This can be done while you are a remote employee or a freelancer.

Personally I have a double approach. I have a remote job and run side hustles (affiliate websites, Podcast, SEO)

As a job it certainly has it’s up s and downs! I am including as I know a few people who do this professionally and live in Bali for many years by only trading Crypto!

As an alternative, you could serve the eCommerce market by offering services. There are a variety of services you can offer eCommerce store owners including Paid Media (Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads), Marketing, SEO, eCommerce Virtual Assistant etc.

You don’t always need to be the owner and it is a good idea to sharpen your skills by working for someone else before you launch your own eCommerce store. Starting an eCommerce business requires investment. This will be via purchasing products up front or for running paid Ads.

As a language teacher, you would be responsible for teaching a new language to students. You could work with individuals or groups of students, and you could teach in-person or online.

The world is your oyster! Obviously you will have a lottery depending on where you were born and what passpost you have, but the whole idea of being a Digiital Nomad is location freedom.
