Signs you Have Poor Website Design

If you don’t have a good website design then there is a very high chance that you are going to be losing out on customers at a very rapid rate. With that said, if you fix the root of the issue then you may find that this is possible for you to avoid, and you may even get to the point where it is possible to expand your sales as a result.

Poor Imagery

One of the biggest signs that your website design is poor, is if you have poor imagery. It’s a known fact that most people prefer content that has been designed well over content that appears to be quite plain. If you want to help yourself here then you need to improve your business website design. Don’t use any old stock image instead, make sure that it at least aligns with your copy. This will add value to the page and it will also draw the eyes too. When using images, at least make sure that they do not appear blurry too. If you can make sure that this is the case then you are bound to get a good result overall. Using professional photos is also great if you feel as though stock images do not relate to your site very much.

If you need help, remember you can go through a web design service to help you create the perfect site in no time at all.

Neglecting Mobile Users

Another mistake would be neglecting your mobile users. When you go through all of the trouble of giving every page you have a purpose, you want to make sure that people explore every single page. Visitors who use your website from a mobile have to be given the same experience as someone who uses a desktop PC. If you don’t give them this then it will ultimately work against you quite a lot. If you want to fix this then at least make sure that your site is responsive. Responsive website design helps to ensure that your content changes according to your window. It also ensures that your website can be navigated by mobile visitors, which is so important, to say the least. One fix here would be for you to make sure that you are using the mobile-friendly test that Google has released. This is a good way for you to tell you what has to be improved so your site is the best it can be.

Inconsistency

Inconsistent design is a major form of bad website design. When visitors gravitate from one page to the next, they expect to see the same elements. If a visitor swaps between pages or if they encounter a new design then they may even feel confused. In some cases, your visitors may even feel as though they are on a whole new site and this is the last thing you need. If you want to stop this then keep certain elements and make sure that it is the same across everything, so people know it’s you.
